The Ministry of Agriculture wishes to offer an apology to the Guyanese people and the Director General of the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) for an error in a release issued in relation to the Minister of Agriculture’s meeting with the Director General in Mexico.
The release stated that the Director General’s name was Jacques Diouf. The correct name for the Director General of the FAO is José Graziano DaSilva. Again, the Ministry of Agriculture wishes to offer sincerest apologies to anyone who was affected or offended by this error.
