The Ministry of Agriculture will soon be undertaking several projects in various areas of development. In this regard, the Ministry is currently inviting suitably qualified persons to bid for these contracts.
The National Drainage and Irrigation Authority (NDIA) is currently inviting bids for the rehabilitation of drainage pumps at Three Friends, on the Essequibo Coast, Region Two. The estimated cost of this project is $147,300,000.
Meanwhile, another contract is currently being tendered for the monthly maintenance and cleaning of the Canal No.1 and Canal No. 2 main drains, West Bank Demerara (WBD), Region Three. This project is estimated at $49,452,000.
Further, the Ministry will be undertaking mechanical repairs of NDIA’s No. 10 320CL caterpillar Hydraulic excavator at Hope Estate compound, Hope, East Coast Demerara (ECD), Region Four. As such, another contract, estimated at $5, 251,000, is currently being tendered.
